Minneapolis Glass in Brooklyn Park, MN is looking to hire a full-time Industrial Worker to join our Commercial Contract Team. This position earns a competitive union salary starting at $21.88/hr. and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. After 6 months as an Industrial Worker, the salary would be $25.67/hr. This is a first shift operation with a typical work schedule of 6:00am - 2:30pm. AS AN INDUSTRIAL WORKER YOU WILL:

• Assist in the production of glass and metal fabrication by learning from an experienced fabricator. This may include loading materials onto the machine, assembling glass or metal frames, packaging finished products.
• Assist in the installation of all types of glass and metal on commercial job sites including moving / holding material and caulking glass to metal.
• Drive a company vehicle to safely deliver materials to the job site.
• Clean up shop and field work areas.

Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. It is a great opportunity to learn the trades as you will always be working with a seasoned glass worker or glazier except when cleaning or driving. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of construction or warehouse experience required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical required.
• Must be physically capable of performing the work, with ability to kneel, bend, climb, lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and stand for 8 hours a day.
• Demonstrated understanding of measurements and basic math.
• Familiarity with general mechanical tools.
• Previous glass or metal fabrication and forklift experience preferred.

PAY RATE

Industrial Workers start at $21.88/hr. and progress to $25.67/hr. after 6 months.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is full-time with a schedule of 6 AM - 2:30 PM and paid overtime beyond 8 hours daily. You will be assisting in the warehouse and the field construction sites as well as driving to and from locations.
