Minneapolis Glass Company in Brooklyn Park, MN is looking to hire a full-time Machine Operator to join our Glass Fabrication Team. This position earns a competitive union salary starting at $27.62/hr and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. After 12 months in the production role, the salary would be $30.60/hr. This is a first shift operation with a predictable work schedule of 6:00am - 2:30pm. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MACHINE OPERATOR
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines that manufacture glass products. Taking big sheets of raw glass, various machinery is used to cut, edge, notch, paint etc. to create a finished glass product for distribution. You will be responsible for basic equipment set up and maintenance to ensure high quality production.
Using our standard operating processes and software, you will ensure product in created for jobs on time and to specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience on production machines or manufacturing work
- Knowledge of glass fabrication strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to work with tools and trouble shoot issues with equipment
- Must be physically capable of performing the work with ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and stand for 8 hours a day.

PAY RATE
Production workers start at $27.62/hr. and progress to $30.60/hr. after 12 months.
WORK SCHEDULE
This machine operator position is full-time with a schedule of 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and paid overtime beyond 8 hours daily.
